Marvel Cinematic Universe icons Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans just reunited at the Academy Awards. This comes ahead of both actors returning to the MCU for the upcoming movie Avengers: Doomsday.
At the Oscars on Sunday night, Downey and Evans appeared on the stage together to present the awards for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Screenplay. At the start of the appearance, Downey noted, “The script. It’s the driving force of any film, and it’s truly been a banner year for screenwriters.” Evans then interrupted Downey to ask what he had gifted him, with the Captain America actor giving the Iron Man actor a signed copy of the Avengers script.
