Robert Irwin is detailing his scary experience with a crocodile ahead of the Season 34 Dancing With the Stars cast announcement.
Irwin, 21, recalled being “death-rolled by a croc” while chatting exclusively with Parade on the DWTS red carpet on Wednesday, Sept. 3, after being asked what animal he would hypothetically bring out on the dance floor.
“I mean, footwork — a flamingo is gonna, like, win every day of the week. A crocodile — that wouldn’t work well at all,” says Irwin, to which DWTS pro and partner Witney Carson adds that a crocodile would definitely bring “the wow factor.”
Irwin continues: “Maybe we should do that. Let’s bring a crocodile for our first dance. I got death-rolled by a croc. I was talking to you about it just before I came up here. He just about dislocated my shoulder. But I can still lift. It’ll be okay. We’ll be [all] right. So maybe we’ll save that for a little bit further down the track.”
Irwin is one of 14 celebs on the Season 34 cast of the long-running dance competition show, which kicks off on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesday, Sept. 16. Other cast members include Secret Wives of Mormon Wives star Jen Affleck, Hilaria Baldwin, Boy Meets World alum Danielle Fishel and more.
