Singer-songwriter Graham Nash called out President Donald Trump for trying to “launch us into oblivion” with his attack on Iran.
The two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Famer ― for Crosby, Stills & Nash and for The Hollies ― wrote on Instagram that it “blows my mind” to be “shoved into a war… by a man with multiple deferments so he wouldn’t have to fight himself and put his own life on the line the way he will now ask so many others to do.”
“Makes me sick,” Nash added.
Nash, who is perhaps best known for “Our House” and “Teach Your Children,” but also performed on the protest anthem “Ohio” as part of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, wrote:
“In the end he’s just another power hungry, greedy, cowardly, racist, misogynistic, hateful, small-minded, empty-headed, petty thug. And just like all people like him throughout time he starts battles he’ll never have to finish himself, says and does things he will never be held accountable for.”
“He cares for no one except himself. The best thing we can do is to be the total opposite of him and all the people like him,” Nash added. “Keep pushing back. None of this is normal.”
