The reception was in honour of cancer-detecting dogs trained by Medical Detection Dogs. The dogs are trained to sniff out signs of cancer in humans.
James was present at the event as his company, Ella & Co, donates treats for the dogs, who carry out life-saving work.
As Queen Camilla spotted James at the reception yesterday, they warmly greeted one another, with James giving Her Majesty a kiss on the cheek.
James uploaded some photographs from the event onto his Instagram account, writing: “Such an honour to be hosted by The Queen and witness some of the world’s leading Medical Detection Dogs in action @medicaldetectiondogs.
“We heard about the Charity’s incredible new AI-driven E-Nose technology. Data collected from these dogs is being used to train AI-powered “electronic noses” developed with Dr Andreas Mershin that can replicate canine diagnostics. Bio Detection Dogs are revolutionising early cancer screening. They’re not just changing lives… they’re saving them. James & Ella @ella.co are the official treat partner for MDD dogs in training.”
Royal fans were sent into a frenzy at seeing James and Her Majesty together, with one fan commenting on Instagram: “This is wonderful.”
Another said: “So lovely seeing you with the Queen.”
Someone else wrote: “Aww, I love this!”
Another person commented: “What a dedicated and loving family the Middletons are.”
