KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals have moved up their game time against the Los Angeles Angels due to severe weather risks across the metro Sunday evening.
The team announced Sunday morning that the first pitch at Kauffman Stadium will now be thrown at 3:10 p.m. instead of 6:20 p.m., as previously scheduled.

According to the Royals, the change is “out of an abundance of caution due to the potential for inclement weather tonight.”
The Kansas City metro is currently under a level 3/5 risk of severe storms later Sunday and into the overnight hours.
The main threats for Sunday night are wind, hail and potential flash flooding. There are also risks of tornadoes; however, those chances are on the lower end, FOX4’s Joe Lauria says.
