KANSAS CITY, Mo. — After the Kansas City Royals wrap up a three-game series with the Chicago White Sox on Thursday, they’ll head to St. Louis for the first I-70 series of the year during MLB’s Rivalry Weekend.
While the Royals and Cardinals will battle it out over three games at Busch Stadium for bragging rights in the Show-Me State, another debate took over social media on Wednesday: Which ballpark has the better barbecue food?

The battles that MLB proposed on X were Kansas City’s Z-Man from Joe’s KC BBQ up against STL’s BBQ Nachos, and Kauffman Stadium’s Beef Short Rib Corn Dog vs. Busch Stadium’s Hot Dog Burnt Ends.
Fans and foodies sounded off in the comments, with the majority seeming to side with the western side of the state.
“I vote Royals, impossible to beat a good Z-Man after 9 innings!” one fan wrote.
“Z-Man reigns supreme but I do want to try the hot dog burnt ends,” another responded.

Surprisingly, the Royals’ Brisketacho, a helmet full of smoked brisket on top of chips, with toppings piled high, didn’t make it into MLB’s proposed debate between ballpark BBQ. However, regardless of how this weekend’s I-70 series turns out, Kansas City seemed to win the BBQ debate on Wednesday.
