We know there’s been a lot of Drag Race on TV this year, but real Drag Race fans know that the UK version is elite. They’ve yet to have a bad season, and with that in mind, today is an exciting day. BBC just ruvealed the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 7, and we’re already obsessed. Meet the queens below, and start making your predictions on who’s going to make it to the finale.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Season 7 cast has arrived
BBC and World of Wonder introduced the 12 new queens entering the Werk Room. The full cast photo is a bit of a Photoshop nightmare, but the girls look wonderful in their solo shots. They’ve got the girls dolled up in a fantasy-themed photo shoot with crystals, fairies, butterflies, and jewel tones dominating the looks.
“Hey racers, it’s time to meet the magical new cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK,” Ru teases in the Meet the Queens promo.
The new crop of queens comes from all around the UK, bringing their unique drag styles to the mainstage. Seriously, they’ve got queens from all across the spectrum. There’s a 22-year-old queen named Viola, known for playing violin live on stage. On the other hand, they’ve got Tayris Mongardi, a 27-year-old Brighton performer who said their drag is a celebration of “Black female pop culture.” She cited artists like Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj as some of her inspirations.
The lineup also includes a “witchy boho queen” from Soho, London, a comedy queen from Dublin, and a “blonde bilingual bombshell” from South Wales. Tune in to find out which one of them will make a splash and who will end up getting the Porkchop treatment.
