Sabrina Carpenter isn’t slowing down. Just weeks after releasing her seventh studio album Man’s Best Friend, the pop star revealed to Vogue Italia that she’s already deep into writing sessions for future music.
“I’m doing a lot of writing right now, which you wouldn’t probably expect after two albums, two years in a row,” Carpenter said. “My magic writing place is my bedroom, or it’s outside. Although I get many bug bites… Once I get enough bug bites, I go walking and I’m just refreshing.”

The comments come during a high point in her career. Man’s Best Friend, released August 29, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking Sabrina’s second chart-topping album and her strongest debut yet. The record also scored the biggest opening week of the year for a female artist.
The album’s impact has been wide-reaching. All 12 tracks entered the Billboard Hot 100 upon release, with “Tears” debuting at No. 3 and “Manchild” climbing back to No. 4 after topping the chart earlier in the summer. Other songs, like “Nobody’s Son” (No. 12), “My Man on Willpower” (No. 15), and “When Did You Get Hot?” (No. 17), solidified the project as a commercial juggernaut. Internationally, the album hit No. 1 in the U.K. with over 85,000 units sold, becoming the fastest-selling release of the year by an international artist.
