Sabrina Carpenter hosted a VMAs after-party in New York City last night.
She wore a vintage Bob Mackie bodysuit with a car-wash skirt, which was originally worn by Cher in 1975.
Carpenter partied with fellow artists and celebrities after winning three Moon Person awards.
Sabrina Carpenter owned the night at the 2025 MTV VMAs. After her dazzling Valentino moment on the red carpet and dynamic “Tears” performance, the pop star hosted her very own Sabrina54 after-party.
For the occasion, the Man’s Best Friend singer slipped into a vintage Bob Mackie halter-neck bodysuit—a look originally designed for Cher’s 1975 performance with Tina Turner on The Cher Show. The gorgeous crepe design features mirrored disc-embellished black, pink, and turquoise panels that stream down into a car-wash skirt.
Carpenter had stars like drag queen Willam Belli, who performed with her earlier in the evening, at her event. Her Sabrina54 theme was a modern take on the famed ’70s nightclub Studio54.
Carpenter, who’s no stranger to evoking old Hollywood style, had a big night, taking home three VMAs for Best Pop Artist, Best Visual Effects (“Manchild”), and Album of the Year (Short n’ Sweet).
During her Album of the Year acceptance speech, she reflected on the power of creating music that inspires.
“This world, as we all know, can be so full of criticism and discrimination and negativity,” she said. “So to get to be part of something so often, more than not, that is something that can bring you light, make you smile, make you dance, and make you feel like the world is your fucking oyster, I am so grateful, so grateful to do that.”
