The Screen Actors Guild’s Actor Awards, which will stream on Netflix live March 1, revealed first nominations under the new name on January 7. They were presented in a live stream by “Heated Rivarly” breakout/hearthrob/uncanny Russian impersonator Connor Storrie and “Abbott Elementary” star and Critics Choice Award winner Janelle James.
Per every other awards show so far this year and last month, films like “One Battle After Another,” “Hamnet,” and “Sinners” are expected to dominate on the film side, with familiar series like “Severance,” “The Bear,” “Abbott Elementary,” and “Hacks” popping back up on the TV side, as well as newcomers “The Studio” and “The Pitt.”
