Sam Asghari, the ex-husband of Britney Spears, had some choice words about the upcoming memoir of Spears’ second husband, Kevin Federline.

Earlier this month, Federline, who was married to Spears from 2004 to 2007, announced his memoir, You Thought You Knew, which will address the “crushing heartbreak” of his split from the pop singer and its aftermath. The ex-spouses share two sons, Sean Preston Federline, 19, and Jayden James Federline, 18.

“This book is extremely intimate and transparent. I achieved my biggest dreams, dealt with crushing heartbreak, and endured constant ridicule, all while becoming the father my children needed as they experienced nonstop emotional turbulence,” Federline stated. “If you’ve ever had questions, you’ll find answers here.”

While he didn’t have questions, Asghari, who was married to Spears from 2022 to 2024, gave a sarcastic remark about the tell-all book during a run-in with TMZ.

“Well, he was a professional father so [it will] be the first book that’ll tell you how to be a professional father,” the model and actor told the outlet.

Along with his children with Spears, Federline is also the father to daughter Kori, 23, and son Kaleb, 21, whom he shares with his ex Shar Jackson. One year after his divorce from Spears, Federline married Victoria Prince, with whom he shares daughters Jordan, 13, and Peyton, 11.

After a period of estrangement from Spears, Jayden appears to have reconciled with his mom, while Sean has been relatively out of the spotlight. The boys lived in Hawaii with Federline and Prince, and in September 2024, Federline was given a final child support payment upon Jayden’s 18th birthday.
