The Sangamon County Fair will return to the New Berlin fairgrounds from June 10 through June 14 with a full slate of entertainment, agricultural events and community traditions, according to a community announcement.
Organizers expect thousands of visitors to attend the annual fair, which combines grandstand shows, live entertainment, carnival rides, competitive exhibits and livestock showcases celebrating Sangamon County’s agricultural roots.
The fairgrounds will feature carnival rides operated by Swyear Amusements, competitive exhibits and livestock shows, along with the Pink Pony Pub, a frozen cocktail venue introduced in 2025.
Pageant and grandstand events highlight the week
The Miss Sangamon County Fair Queen Pageant is scheduled for 7 p.m. June 10, serving as one of the fair’s signature opening events. Contestants compete for the opportunity to represent the fair as its official ambassador and hostess, continuing a tradition focused on leadership, service and community involvement.
Grandstand entertainment will run throughout the fair and requires a ticket in addition to general gate admission. Scheduled events include Full Throttle Monster Trucks at 7 p.m. June 11, a concert featuring Scotty McCreery and Josh Turner at 7 p.m. June 12, the Sangamon County Fair Rodeo by Rogue Rodeo at 7 p.m. June 13 and a Demolition Derby by Track Shot Promotions at 5 p.m. June 14. Ticket prices for the concert increase by $10 on the day of the event.
Family activities and agriculture take center stage
Beyond the grandstand, fairgoers can attend a free ice cream social with music by Capital Area Big Band at 2 p.m. June 11, a state-qualifying Lego competition on June 12 and June 13, a talent show at noon June 13 and the third annual car show from 8 a.m. to noon June 14.
Agriculture remains a central focus of the fair, with livestock shows featuring beef cattle, sheep, swine, goats, rabbits and poultry. The competitions showcase work by local youth and agricultural exhibitors while offering educational opportunities for visitors.
Exhibit buildings across the fairgrounds will display agricultural products, floriculture, culinary entries, fine arts, textiles, hobbies and handicrafts submitted by community members of all ages.
“The Sangamon County Fair is more than just a fair—it’s a celebration of our community, our agricultural roots and the people who make our county special,” said Roy Pierceall, president of the Sangamon County Fair Board. “Whether you’re coming for the entertainment, livestock shows, exhibits, carnival or family traditions, there’s truly something for everyone.”
General gate admission is $5, with children 4 and under admitted free. Additional information, including schedules, tickets and exhibit details, is available at sangcofair.com.
