Sarah Ferguson has got “nowhere to live” as it has now been reported that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and their daughters are not able to offer her a place to call home. The 66-year-old has officially moved out of the home that she has shared with Andrew since 2008, despite the former couple having been separated since 1992.
A royal source has suggested that Sarah is in a “housing crisis” after it was reported that she is clinging to the hope of finding a new home soon. They also added that she will need to “lower her expectations” as she has moved out of the 30-room mansion.
Sarah is reportedly keen to stay in Windsor, while Andrew is set to move to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
A friend of the former Duchess said that Sarah “will not be moving in [with Andrew]” because she “would prefer to stay in the Windsor area”.
A source told the publication: “Relations are warmer between Ferguson and the couple’s daughters, but no offer of permanent accommodation has been extended to their mother.
“For now, Andrew and Sarah have a housing crisis. It may mean that they have to lower their expectations about the sort of lifestyle they wish to lead.”
Beatrice currently resides in the Cotswolds with her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and their children, four-year-old Sienna and one-year-old Athena. The royal is also stepmother to Edoardo’s son from a previous relationship, nine-year-old Wolfie.
Unlike her sister, Eugenie splits her time between the UK and Portugal. The mother-of-two splits her time between the two countries due to her husband Jack Brooksbank’s work commitments.
