According to royal journalist Chris Riches, Sarah Ferguson is in talks to make money by simply meeting people. “Now friends have claimed Fergie is considering undertaking well-paid dinner appearances following her biblical fall from grace,” he wrote for Daily Express. “Exchanges between Ferguson and one after-dinner speaking agent this month appeared to show her bizarre expectations of earning £150,000 [$190,000] plus expenses for a talk later this year, which would have included two first–class flights. Is she completely mad?”

While many people likely want to know Sarah Ferguson’s side of the drama, Chris Riches believes it’s not a noble way to make income. “Although some people may be desperately keen to hear her stories about Jeffrey Epstein, they either drive cars with flashing blue lights or are members of a U.S. congressional committee,” he wrote. “Does she really imagine a room of charity volunteers enjoying a three-course meal with coffee as she lets rip with the hilarious anecdote of how she let ‘Jeffrey’ buy her lunch after serving his sentence for being a p****?”

Emails between Sarah Ferguson and Jeffrey Epstein revealed the former Duchess of York reportedly relied heavily on the criminal for cash. “The landlord has threatened to go to the newspapers if I don’t pay. Any brainwaves?” she wrote to Epstein in a 2009 message released by the U.S. Department of Justice via Daily Express.
