Sarah Ferguson has reportedly rejected an interview with BBC Newsnight as she refuses to follow in the footsteps of her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The former Duchess of York has reportedly received an influx of interview request offers over the last few months following her appearance in the Epstein files, however has rejected every single one.
It now appears that Sarah has learnt from her ex husband’s mistakes, having rejected a request to also sit down with the programme.
As reported by The Sun, a source said: “She has had a lot of offers including from Newsnight but is spending her time reflecting and has no intention of speaking out.”
It is believed Newsnight is not the only interview she has been offered to take part in.
It is also not known whether Sarah has just rejected the interview offers for now, or indefinitely.
The news of the interview rejections comes after Sarah was photographed publicly for the first time in seven months this week outside a chalet in Austria.
It is believed the former duchess has been there for some time, having used the chalet as a place to keep a low profile while she figures out her next move following her downfall as a result of the Epstein files.
The files showed that Sarah had maintained a friendship with the late convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein after 2009, even after he was sentenced for child sex offences.
It is important to note that appearing in the Epstein files does not indicate any wrongdoing.
