Sarah Ferguson is in a position where she has “nothing left to lose” if she decides to give a tell-all interview or pen an explosive memoir, according to a Royal commentator. Following rumors that palace insiders are worried the former Duchess might go “rogue”, expert Samara Gill suggested that Fergie’s motivation could be as simple as needing money.
During her appearance on the Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, Gill commented on Sarah’s situation: “Both her and Andrew have absolutely nothing to lose at this point. Who knows whose dirty laundry they will then air out? I don’t think it’ll be their own.
“But I think that because of the big amounts of money, you know, six-figure sums that are being thrown around for this interview, who knows who she’ll talk about?”. These remarks follow several weeks of scandal surrounding Sarah and Andrew’s connections with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Gill speculated on what Sarah might discuss if she were to give an interview: “She probably won’t brief about Andrew. She probably won’t even really talk about herself unless it’s about her struggle. She might talk about other Royal Family members and throw them under the bus.”
This discussion comes after it was reported that the former Duchess could potentially earn millions if she decided to write a tell-all memoir, similar to Prince Harry‘s book, Spare.
An insider revealed: “Money has never been an issue for Sarah. She spent more than she had and somebody else always picked up the tab. She’s been very well taken care of over the years by various boyfriends, friends and acquaintances.”
The source continued: “Yet for the first time in a good while, she is now seriously worried about how on earth she’s going to maintain her lifestyle.
“She’s too toxic to touch for every single brand and charity she’d previously worked with, and even the lavish freebies she used to be gifted have stopped.
“It was quite normal for her to be invited to an expensive hotel or spa and given the five-star VIP treatment for a few days in exchange for her simply being there, but now nobody wants her.
“With no substantial income coming in, Sarah is now looking to follow in the footsteps of Prince Harry and is willing to pen a tell-all memoir about her time with Andrew and how she was treated by the Royal Family after their split.
“She has a lot of diaries and evidence of the backstabbing, scandals and cover-ups.
“For the right amount of money, she is willing to spill everything, but she’s hoping to make enough money that it will give her a nice little nest egg for the rest of her life. She wants somewhere in the region of £10million and is actively open to offers.”
