Sarah Ferguson reportedly had an unusual tactic to make sure her books were on the bestseller lists, it has been claimed. Author Andrew Lownie, who is republishing his book, Entitled, with new content in it later this month, claims that he was told just how Sarah made her books do well in the charts.
While it is likely she also had many readers purchasing her books, Lownie claimed that Sarah would buy hundreds of her own novels to give away as presents. It is not known which of her books she did this for.
Lownie, who gets his information from well-trusted sources, said: “She bought hundreds of her books to give as presents and to help propel them onto bestseller lists.”
Lownie’s paperback version of Entitled, with the new content and claims in it, will be published on May 21.
The new content also delves deeper into Sarah’s dating history, claiming she had a romantic relationship with rapper P Diddy, who is currently in jail.
Other claims in the book offer a deeper look into Sarah’s finances and her love of freebies.
Lownie wrote in the book: “Sarah rarely paid for anything, expecting to be given products for free or be entertained by friends. She ‘borrowed’ security from some of her rich acquaintances.
“She was lent couture and didn’t always return it, or she ordered garments and often didn’t end up paying for them, notably some gowns from Rochas in Paris designed by Peter O’Brien.”
