Saya Gray Announces Australian Headlining Shows For December 2025

Saya Gray is the latest artist from the Meredith Music Festival line-up for 2025 to announce their own headlining shows. The Japanese-Canadian singer-songwriter, who is signed to UK label Dirty Hit, will perform in the country for the very first time this December, with shows plotted across the east coast to coincide with her appearance in the Supernatural Amphitheatre. In addition to performing her four dates in Australia, Gray and her band will also head to New Zealand for the first time while in the Australasian region. They will perform at Meow Nui in Wellington on Friday, November 28th before heading to Auckland the following day for The Others Way Festival – at which she will perform alongside the likes of Sharon Van Etten & The Attachment Theory, W.I.T.C.H, Tiny Ruins, The Bats and C.O.F.F.I.N. Saya Gray – ‘Lie Down’

Gray’s Australian debut comes in support of her second studio album, the quasi-eponymous Saya. Released in February of 2025, it was produced by her guitarist brother Lucian and was flanked by singles such as ‘Shell (Of A Man)’, ‘H.B.W.’ and ‘Lie Down’. In July, Saya was shortlisted for the 2025 Polaris Music Prize, which is bestowed upon what is considered the best Canadian album of the year. The winner will be announced in a matter of weeks at Massey Hall in Toronto on Tuesday, September 16th.

Other artists that have announced they will play their own headlining shows away from Meredith thus far include Saturday’s headlining act TV On The Radio, who will play Australia for the first time in over a decade, as well as American baroque pop artist Perfume Genius and English art-rock trio Bar Italia.
