Scott Eastwood’s Reaction to Taylor Swift Calling Him: ‘Taylor Who?’

Scott Eastwood recently reflected on the day Taylor Swift called to invite him to star in her 2015 “Wildest Dreams” music video. While speaking during a press appearance for his upcoming film Regretting You, Eastwood recalled how the unexpected call caught him off guard.

Scott Eastwood recently reflected on his collaboration with Taylor Swift for her 2015 music video for “Wildest Dreams.” During a conversation with the Associated Press alongside his Regretting You co-stars Mason Thames and Dave Franco, Eastwood recalled receiving a personal phone call from the singer.

The actor shared, “I’d never met Taylor Swift before. She called me out of the blue. She said, ‘Hey this is Taylor.’ I’m, like, Taylor who?” The call led to Eastwood playing Swift’s romantic lead in the music video, which portrayed the two as actors shooting a love story.

The topic came up when Franco mentioned the music video during the interview. He noted that their co-star Mckenna Grace hadn’t realized at first that Eastwood was the actor featured in it. Talking about Grace, Franco added, “Like this is a video dear to her heart, and she put it together in the moment: Scott’s the guy from the ‘Wildest Dreams’ video. She immediately called her mom.”

This isn’t the first time Eastwood has reflected on his time working with Swift. In a 2024 interview with E! News, the actor spoke warmly about the experience, describing it as “fond memories.”  Praising Swift’s success, Eastwood noted that they have not stayed in touch.  He said, “Taylor Swift has become the biggest star in the world. She’s got a whole tour to do. She does not need to be talking to me.”

Currently, Eastwood is promoting his upcoming romantic drama Regretting You, directed by Josh Boone.
