On October 11, 2025, the SLHS Royals Dance Team’s booster club will hold its 2nd annual fall festival at the Cut Off Youth Center (COYC) from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event includes activities for both children and adults.
To begin, there will be a Foam Party from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. where participants are encouraged to wear costumes, said Dance Team Coach Sarah Lirette.
For the Black Top/Black Pot Cook-Off, participants may cook anything in a black top skillet/hibachi or black pot.
For children, a $15.00 bracelet may be purchased for all-day access to the Kid Zone, which “will feature a bunch of carnival-style games for the kids to play and win small prizes,” said Lirette. Some activities will require an additional charge, she noted. One example of such activities is the petting zoo, hosted by SLHS FFA, which includes an entry fee of $5.00.
Bingo will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., and the cost to participate is “donation-based,” said Lirette.
Prices vary per booth for the Craft Show. The cost is $50.00 for a booth under the pavilion, which includes electricity, and the cost is $25.00 for a booth located outside of the pavilion, said Lirette. She added, “Booths can sell crafts, homemade goods, etc.”
Participants may sign up for the Corn Hole activity on the day of the festival from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or pre-register on the Scoreholio app, said Lirette. The tournament will begin at 1:30 p.m., and the winner will receive a cash prize, she said.
Lirette described the Silent Auction activity stating, “We have over 40 items available for bidding! Bidding will open at 9:00 a.m. There are a variety of items: kid[‘s] toys and games, South Lafourche swag, holiday items, ice chests, and things for fishing enthusiasts. Our most exciting auction item is ‘Royal for a Night’ which includes a basket of poms and many blue goodies, perfect for anyone wanting to be a SLHS Royal for one home football game next season. The prize will also include a hand-made uniform, sized at the end of the summer.” The Silent Auction will end at 4:00 p.m.
From 2;00 p.m. to the closing of the event at 5:30 p.m., there will be a live performance by the Roger Dowdy Band.
