Michelle Jewett will be at the gallery discussing her fluid acrylic artwork, sharing insights into her creative process, and demonstrating on a small scale how she creates a fluid art piece.

Michelle is an acrylic, mixed media, and fluid acrylic artist with more than 30 years of painting experience. Although trained as an engineer, she has always been drawn to creativity and artistic expression. A self-taught artist, her work has evolved through years of experimentation and exploration.

For Michelle, painting is a journey of discovery expressed through color, movement, texture, and organic forms. Each piece evolves intuitively, often revealing unexpected details along the way. Her scientific and engineering background continues to influence her artistic process, particularly her fascination with the behavior of liquid paint — how pigments interact, flow, layer, and transform across a surface.

Inspired by the beauty and movement found in nature — from flowing water and dramatic coastlines to flowers and mountain landscapes — Michelle creates vibrant, immersive works that invite viewers to experience their own sense of emotion and discovery.

Art Works Gallery Co-op, voted Best Gallery 11 years running, is a creative hub owned and operated by 32 local artists. They exhibit a high quality collection of artwork featuring, furniture, paintings, photography, ceramics, fiber arts, woodworking, glass, sculptures and mixed-media. The gallery is currently open from 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday & Sunday 10am to 5pm.
