All is calm on the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives set after Mikayla Matthews and Whitney Leavitt squashed their beef.
“I apologize in advance for breaking the internet today,” Mikayla, 25, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, September 7. “I had to take ‘Momtok survived’ to a whole new level.”
Mikayla then shared a video of herself scrolling through Whitney’s Instagram account and realizing she now “follows” her on social media. Mikayla proceeded to press the “follow back” button, signaling that the former frenemies are back on good terms.
“War is over,” Mikayla wrote over the video with a teary-eyed emoji as she and husband Jace Terry excitedly jumped around in a circle. The video is also set to John Lennon’s “Happy Xmas (War Is Over),” further hinting at the end of their issues.

Mikayla and Whitney, 32, have been at odds since season 1 of the Hulu series premiered in September 2024. During the show, Mikayala voiced issues with how Whitney treated her, which bubbled over into a heated argument during the season 2 premiere in May.
In the aftermath, Mikayla and Whitney have taken public jabs at one another via TikTok.
Whitney, who was briefly shunned by the MomTok group to start season 2, called out Mikayla for her allegedly pointed videos about her during the season 2 reunion, which aired in July.

“It’s so double standard. You just sat here and asked me, ‘Do you feel like you justify your actions based off of your feelings?’” Whitney told host Nick Viall at the time. “Well, [Mikayla] is someone who constantly belittles me and hurts me. So is she justified in her feelings to treat me that way?”
Viall, 44, denied calling Whitney out more than the other reality stars, claiming that he doesn’t think he heard her “take accountability” for her own actions in the past.

Elsewhere in the reunion, Viall tried to get to the root of Whitney and Mikayla’s issues, asking Mikayla point blank, “Why do you hate her so much?”
Mikayla fired back, “I don’t hate anyone. But, I just get annoyed. I can’t help it.”
Mikayla explained that while on a trip to Park City, Utah, she felt “left out” of her friendship with Whitney because she was dealing with her own chronic health issues.
“We had like two conversations, I think, that weren’t aired. Because I was like, ‘I thought we worked this out,’” Mikayla recalled. “[Whitney] even texted me after, like, ‘Thanks for opening up.’ I was like, ‘Love you, sorry, whatever.’ Two days later, unfollowed.”
Whitney, meanwhile, claimed it “wasn’t out of nowhere” that she unfollowed Mikayla and the rest of the girls on social media.
“It was after the JZ [Styles] party that I unfollowed everyone,” Whitney said, referring to a bash held by costar Jessi Ngatikaura in honor of her hair salon. “I just felt attacked at that party. The problem was, even after me owning up to that, it was the ‘let’s continue to attack Whitney’ [thing I didn’t like].”
Whitney and Mikayala seemingly started to move forward after Viall forced them to hug at the reunion, later sharing funny TikToks together that poked fun at their feud.
The Secret Live of Mormon Wives returns to Hulu for season 3 on Thursday, November 13.
