Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday threw the mother of all reunions to celebrate 20 years on ABC.
After a star-studded episode featuring past pros like Edyta Śliwińska, Max Chermkovskiy, Charlotte Jørgensen, Brian Fortuna, Lindsay Arnold and Anna Trebunskaya and past contestants like Kristy Yamaguchi, Kelly Monaco, John O’Hurley, Mirai Nagasu, Amy Purdy, Chris Mazdzer, Noah Galloway, Shawn Johnson and Gilles Marini, a birthday bash was held on an adjacent stage at LA’s Television City Studios.

A highlight of the night was the return of former host Tom Bergeron, who left the show in 2020 after being publicly critical of the show’s choice to cast then-President Donald Trump’s White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer in Season 28. Spicer was one of the many past contestants to attend Tuesday’s celebration.
On Wednesday morning, Bergeron tried to post a video on Instagram video to thank the fans for their support about his return but he was too verklempt to finish.
Before the show, Deadline reminisced with several key members of the DWTS crew like costume designer Howard Sussman, music supervisor Ray Chew and stage manager Jennifer Marquet about their time under the mirror ball and what secrets they’d care to reveal about working with all those past celebrities.
Among the highlights: everyone wants to look skinny in their costumes and lots of folks would prefer to avoid the Sky Box after sweating through a performance and those judges.
