Stephen Colbert seized his moment at the 77th Emmys Sunday.
While presenting the award for outstanding lead actor in a comedy series — which went to Seth Rogen for “The Studio” — he jumped on the opportunity to get his resume out there.
Colbert, who lives in Montclair, announced in July that CBS would soon be ending “The Late Show.”
Colbert, 61, will make his exit as host in May after leading the show since September 2015.
So at the Emmys, he took out his resume, printed with an old headshot of himself — one taken at a much younger age — to present to the audience.
And he had a particular recipient in mind.

Colbert made the move after receiving a standing ovation from the Emmys crowd at the top of the show.
“While I have your attention, is anyone hiring?” Colbert said (watch video below).

“Because I got 200 very well-qualified candidates with me here tonight who will be available in June,” he said, referring to everyone who works on “The Late Show.”
“I also brought my own resume here tonight,” he said, unfolding the paper.
“I haven’t had a chance to update my headshot in a bit, but I think it still works. I’m in there somewhere after I get back from Istanbul, I’m sure,” Colbert said, stretching his face back.
“I only have the one,” he said. “Um, Harrison Ford, could you get this to Spielberg?”
With that, Colbert walked off the stage and handed his CV and photo to Ford, who gladly accepted.
Later during the ceremony, Colbert celebrated the first “Late Show” win for outstanding talk series.
