The most anticipated album of the year is ready to meet Indianapolis at midnight.
Five hundred Target stores across the country will stay open past midnight on Oct. 3 for the release of Taylor Swift’s new album “The Life of a Showgirl.” Fans will have access to three Target exclusive CD editions— “It’s Frightening,” “It’s Rapturous” and “It’s Beautiful,” — with a distinct cover, fold-out poster and album art.
The “Sweat and Vanilla Perfume” standard version of the album on vinyl will also be in stock at Target. Supplies are limited to four items per customer during the extended-hours sale.
The CDs are $14.99, while the vinyl is $34.99. Both are available for preorder here.

“The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift’s 12th studio album, punctuates an unprecedented run for the pop sensation. Her two-year Eras Tour, which stopped at Lucas Oil Stadium for three nights last November, grossed a record-breaking $2.2 billion in ticket sales.
During that stretch, Swift released “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” and “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” as part of her re-record series, took home her fourth Album of the Year Grammy for 2022’s “Midnights” and released her 11th studio album “The Tortured Poets Department.”

“Showgirl” also comes on the heels of Swift buying back her masters and her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, which the couple made public Aug. 26. She announced the new album on the New Heights podcast that Kelce hosts with his brother, former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
Target’s three CD variants accompany six editions of “Life of a Showgirl” on vinyl available in varying capacities for presale online and hitting records stores Oct. 3.
