The Seed Sounds Weekender, a new festival celebrating the UK’s ‘seed music venues’, has announced a new wave of major hospitality groups confirmed to play live music over the weekend.
With more than 460 new venues signed up, it’s expected that 1,500-plus pubs, bars and restaurants will be taking part in the UK’s largest multi-venue music festival.
Presented by live music marketplace GigPig, the festival will bring over 2,000 live performances to pubs, bars, restaurants and hotels across 20 UK towns and cities from September 26-28, 2025. The event, backed by The 1975 frontman and festival ambassador Matty Healy, is designed to raise awareness of the hospitality sector’s vital role in supporting the UK’s music scene.
“It’s incredibly exciting to see major operators like Urban Pubs & Bars, Shepherd Neame, and Individual Restaurants embrace this movement with such incredible momentum,” said Kit Muir-Rogers, co-founder of GigPig. “This isn’t just a handful of venues; it’s a significant show of support from the hospitality sector for the musical talent it so often nurtures. We’re thrilled to have them onboard.”
Launch partner New World Trading Company has also announced that they will be transforming their flagship venue in Manchester, Oast House, into the main stage for the Seeds Sound Weekender. This will include a full weekend schedule of live music performances starting from 4pm on Friday, September 26.
“We are incredibly proud to be named the main stage for The Seed Sounds Weekender,” said Kate Lister, marketing director, New World Trading Company. “Live music is at the heart of our offering at The Oast House, and being a hub for emerging talent is something we’re hugely passionate about. This festival is the perfect opportunity to support Manchester’s rich musical heritage and provide a platform for the next generation of artists, while offering our customers a fantastic experience.”

Leading the wave of new operators to sign up are major hospitality groups such as Urban Pubs & Bars, Shepherd Neame, Individual Restaurants, Turtle Bay, Katie O’Briens, Bootlegger Bars and Greek Street Live. They join the launch partner venues such as Stonegate Group, Laine Pub Co, New World Trading Company, BrewDog, Diecast, Boom Battle Bars, Alberts Schloss, Stack and Tokyo Industries.
“Shepherd Neame is committed to ensuring its pubs are at the heart of their communities – and that includes championing live music,” said Shepherd Neame’s operations manager Ryan Torrie. “We are proud to support The Seed Sounds Weekender, using our London pubs to showcase the next generation of UK talent and offer our customers a unique and memorable experience.”
“At Individual Restaurants, we are dedicated to celebrating the best of culture, cuisine, and hospitality, from modern Italian to contemporary grill dining and that includes the phenomenal live music scene,” said Sam Dhaliwal, head of group sales, Individual Restaurants. “By participating in this festival, we are providing a national platform for talent, while also offering our guests a truly unique and memorable experience across our diverse portfolio of restaurants.”
“Music plays a huge role in Caribbean culture, and how we bring that spirit to our guests every day is core to the Turtle Bay experience,” added Ben Hibbard, marketing director. “We’re all about bringing people together for good times and great vibes, so we are proud to support this festival and provide a platform for new talent to share their music with our customers across the country.”
