It’s the engagement news heard all over the world: On Tuesday, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce revealed that they’re tying the knot with an Instagram carousel of photos showcasing their secret-garden-themed engagement and the old mine, brilliant-cut diamond ring Kelce used to pop the question.
According to Kelce’s dad, the NFL player popped the question nearly two weeks ago, at his home in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
“He got her out there, they were about to go out to dinner, and he said, ‘Let’s go out and have a glass of wine,’ … they got out there, and that’s when he asked her, and it was beautiful,” Ed Kelce told News 5 Cleveland. “They started FaceTiming me and their mother and her folks to make sure everybody knew. So, to see them together is great.”

During a meeting with members of his Cabinet on Tuesday, President Trump was asked what he made of Swift and Kelce’s engagement news. Despite previously making his criticism of Swift public knowledge, Trump had nothing but warm wishes for the couple.
“Well, I wish him a lot of luck,” Trump said. “I think he’s a great player. He’s a great guy. And I think that she’s a terrific person. So I wish them a lot of luck.”
Jason Kelce
The former Philadelphia Eagles star wished the happy couple congratulations on an episode of the New Heights podcast, which he shares with brother Travis.
“There is one gigantic piece of new news that just hit the waves,” Jason Kelce said. “We did record this podcast on Monday, which was Travis’s one day off so he is not here to address this himself but we felt necessary here as a team on New Heights to get together and send Travis and Taylor a giant congratulations for being engaged.
