In honor of Taylor Swift’s new album, Selena Gomez has shared a glimpse of her best friend at her wedding.
Last month, the Only Murders in the Building actress, 33, tied the knot to Benny Blanco during a two-day celebration in Montecito, California. The ceremony was strictly for close friends and family. Amongst the guest list was a few fellow Hollywood stars like Martin Short, Steve Martin and Paris Hilton.
A few attendees, like the Blank Space singer, had the honor of giving a speech. Now, Selena has given a look at another special moment she shared with her best friend on her big day.
Taylor was able to see Selena get ready and put on her veil just before she walked down the aisle. Within a video posted to Instagram, the singer was seen recording as Selena’s hairstylist placed her veil in place, saying, “Are you even serious?? What? Look at her! Oh my god!”
As she laughed, Selena admitted, “I can’t believe that I have a veil. I’m so happy! I’m getting married!”
Since the wedding, Taylor hasn’t shared any details of the ceremony, aside from a conversation she had with Ed Sheeran during the reception. However, an insider shared information about the heartfelt speech she gave to the bride and groom.
“Taylor gave an extremely heartfelt speech at the wedding,” a source told US Weekly. “She went into depth and talked about how over the years she saw Selena on the floor crying, mentioning exes, Selena having a broken heart, and saying how happy she is that Selena has Benny now.”
The singer also reportedly expressed that it “is a best friend’s dream for her best friend to find someone like Benny.”
Taylor has been friends with Selena for over 17 years. They met in 2008 while both dating members of the Jonas Brothers.
