Seth Bolt and Wife Tori Are Expecting Baby No. 2 After ‘Emotional Rollercoaster’ of Trying to Conceive (Exclusive)

Seth Bolt and his wife Tori are going to be parents again!

The couple, who are the founders of BOLT FARM in Tennessee, are expecting their second baby together, a rep for Seth tells PEOPLE. After Seth stepped away from his band NEEDTOBREATHE last year and Tori navigated a journey with infertility, the two are overjoyed to be welcoming another little one.

“We experienced difficulty trying to conceive our second baby, and after more than a year of trying, we learned we were dealing with what many call secondary infertility,” they tell PEOPLE. “It was a deeply emotional season because we’ve always dreamed of having a big family.”

“After a lot of prayer and conversations, we decided to pursue IVF [in vitro fertilization]. We believe in the God of miracles, and we also believe He gives people wisdom, medicine and resources to help others,” they share. “For us, IVF became part of that journey.”

“Finding out we were expecting was the biggest answer to prayer. We were filled with gratitude, relief and joy, all at one. Even going through IVF, we knew a successful pregnancy wasn’t guaranteed.”

The two say that the past year has been difficult as they’ve waited to hear the magical news that they’d be expanding their family.

“For more than a year, every month felt like an emotional rollercoaster — the waiting, the hoping and then the heartbreak of another negative test,” they explain. “My heart truly goes out to every woman and couple walking through infertility because it can feel incredibly isolating and heavy.”

“When we decided to pursue IVF, I felt both hopeful and nervous. There were so many unknowns, but also a sense of peace that we were finally giving ourselves a real chance to grow our family,” they continue.

For Seth and Tori, the IVF process was “both challenging and beautiful.” Tori shares that she is often more holistically-minded when it comes to health, so dealing with the procedures and tests was particularly difficult.

“I also have always hated needles, so having to give myself injections every day for weeks forced me to overcome fears I never imagined facing,” Tori says. “Through it all, I kept thinking about the baby we were praying for and the family we dreamed of building. That gave me strength.”

After their transfer day, Seth and Tori waited nine long days to learn if they were pregnant.

“And when we finally received the news that we were pregnant, it felt like an overwhelming wave of gratitude, relief, and joy,” they say. “I know God carried us through every part of this journey. At the same time, I’m very aware that not every couple gets the ending they hope for, which is why I hold so much compassion for families still walking through this road.”

Tori is due on Sept. 26, only one month after their daughter Amma’s third birthday. They say Amma can’t wait to become an older sibling and is excited to be a family of four for the holiday season.

“We were beaming with excitement to share the news with our family; it was such a relief and a joy,” they say. “They had been praying for us and checking in throughout the entire process, so everyone knew how much this baby was hoped for.”

“Right after we got the news, we FaceTimed both sets of parents and let Amma reveal the positive pregnancy test. There were definitely tears, a lot of shock and a lot of, ‘Wait…is this real?!’ ” they recall. “It was one of those moments we’ll never forget.”

Seth and Tori share that they are “incredibly excited” to embark on this next chapter. With their 10th wedding anniversary coming up next month, welcoming a baby feels especially kismet.

“A big part of why Seth stepped away from NEEDTOBREATHE was to build this season of life differently and be fully present for it,” says Tori. “During Amma’s first year, touring had him gone so much, and we both felt how fast those moments disappeared. At one point, Seth said, ‘I waited 40 years to become a dad, and now that I finally have a family, I want to be here for it all.’”

“What we’re building at BOLT FARM has always been bigger than hospitality. It’s about creating a life centered around connection, presence, family and meaningful moments, and we want to live that ourselves too, not just create it for other people,” she continues. “This season feels really aligned with the life and legacy we’re building together: raising our children close to nature, close to family, and close to what matters most.”

“And honestly, Amma is already thriving in her role as a little mama. She talks about the baby constantly, wants to help with everything, and is fully convinced she’s in charge. We can already tell this baby is going to be deeply loved.”
