Shannon Elizabeth, known for “American Pie” and “Scary Movie,” says she joined OnlyFans to take control of her career and show a “more sexy side.”

Shannon Elizabeth, whose “American Pie” role as foreign exchange student Nadia captivated a generation, has joined the sex-positive platform with her account officially live as of Thursday, April 16.
Elizabeth – who recently told Entertainment Tonight that as Nadia she was “playing a character” as she is “just not the girl who likes to be naked” – joins the platform in an effort to take more control over her career.
“I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” the 52-year-old actress told People magazine in an interview published Wednesday. “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”
The actress’ turn to OnlyFans recontextualizes Elizabeth’s partially nude role in the 1999 raunchy teen comedy, as Nadia is recorded via webcam by hapless admirer Jim (Jason Biggs), without her knowledge, in an encounter that spirals into live spectacle.
Elizabeth told ET that despite people incorrectly assuming her to be like her character, she was still grateful for the role. “Everything I’ve done in my life is because of ‘American Pie,'” she said.
Elizabeth’s early 2000s roles often leaned on her sex-symbol image, including her parody role in “Scary Movie” (2000) and cameo in “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back” (2001), though later roles in “Thirteen Ghosts” (2001) and “That 70s Show” saw her begin to emerge outside the objectified box.
