S.W.A.T. original cast members Jay Harrington and Patrick St. Esprit are confirmed to reprise their roles as Sergeant David ‘Deacon’ Kay” and “Commander Robert Hicks” respectively in the new spinoff series, S.W.A.T. Exiles.
As previously announced, Shemar Moore is the lead of S.W.A.T. Exiles, reprising his role as Daniel “Hondo” Harrelson. The 10-episode series from Sony Pictures Television does not currently have a deal with a network or streaming home.
The official logline for the new series spinoff reads: “After a high-profile mission goes sideways, Hondo is pulled out of forced retirement to lead a last-chance experimental SWAT unit made up of untested, unpredictable young recruits. Hondo must bridge a generational divide, navigate clashing personalities, and turn a squad of outsiders into a team capable of protecting the city and saving the program that made him who he is.”
