Signature Entertainment has acquired the U.K. and Irish rights to Vaneast Pictures’ upcoming film The Cure, starring David Dastmalchian and Ashley Greene, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The psychological horror movie centers around Ally Braun (Samantha Cochran), a 16-year-old girl who discovers the horrifying truth about her adopted biotech billionaire parents and how they acquired their wealth. Sydney Taylor (Marked Men) and Tyler Lawrence Gray (The Girl in the Pool) round out the cast.

Produced by John Ierardi (Torn Hearts), Nancy Leopardi (The Donor Party) and Bo Youngblood (In Flight) and executive produced by Danielle Gasher (F*ck Valentine’s Day), The Cure is written by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer (Unsane) and directed by Nancy Leopardi (Nanny Cam).

The deal was negotiated between Signature Entertainment’s acquisitions executive Max Hart and Vaneast Pictures founder Danielle Gasher.

Hart said: “The Cure puts a sharp, high-concept twist on classic psychological horror, led by a truly chilling duo in David Dastmalchian and Ashley Greene. It’s exactly the kind of smart, elevated genre that we champion at Signature, and we’re excited to give U.K. and Irish audiences the medicine they need next year.”

Gasher added: “Vaneast is thrilled to be partnering with Signature, whose reputation for delivering bold, high-quality genre films makes them a natural fit for The Cure. The film has found an excellent home in the U.K. and Ireland, and we couldn’t imagine a better partner to bring this chilling story to audiences.”
