Kathmandu. Singer Som Gurung has released a new song ‘Chauri Ko Goth’. The song, prepared in a folk-pop style, beautifully portrays Nepali hilly life, culture, and love.
The lyrics of the song present in a very poignant manner the context of a lover keeping his beloved’s photo in his pocket, and over time, that colorful photo becoming plain. Through the lyrics ‘Rangin photo kanxi ko, khalti ma rakhda rakhdai saada bho…’, the lover’s innocent love and devotion are expressed. Ramesh Dahal has penned the lyrics, Keshav Poudel has composed the music, and Jugal Dangol has done the music arrangement.
Suresh Koli and Rashmi Gurung are featured in the song’s video. Child artist Kafiya Pree has accompanied him. At the beginning of the video, the melodious tune of the Sarangi and the group dance of artists adorned in traditional Nepali attire attract the viewers. The hilly peaks, greenery, and clean environment have made the video very lively.
The direction has been done by experienced director Saman Adhikari. The video has been shot in a modern cinematic style, showcasing Nepali original art and culture.
