Earlier this week, NBC’s long-running variety show announced that Emil Wakim and Devon Walker wouldn’t be returning for the show’s 51st season.
On Thursday, the list of canned cast members grew by one more when the network announced Michael Longfellow wouldn’t be returning, either.
Longfellow spent three seasons on the show, making his biggest impressions on the “Weekend Update” desk with his takes on TikTok and Real ID.
Unlike Wakim and Walker, Longfellow has yet to publicly comment on his departure. celebrity.land reached out to him, but no one immediately responded.
Insiders expect that more cuts to “SNL” cast ― as well as new cast members ― will be announced shortly.
The show returns for its Season 51 premiere on Oct. 4.
