Bogotá, Dec. 1 (EFE) — Colombian artists Soley and Miguel Bueno released on Monday their new single “A Dios le pido,” a track aiming to become one of the emotional anthems of the Christmas season in Colombia and across Latin American communities, where the end of the year is marked by family rituals, expressions of faith and gatherings with loved ones.
The song, written in an urban-pop style, is the second preview of Soley’s upcoming studio project. She is widely known as “La Bellakita.”
In addition to Soley and Miguel Bueno, the track was written by a large collective of composers: Daniel Zárate Perdomo “Omni,” Emilián Rusev Ochoa “Emyl Rusev,” Guillermo Alejandro Ortiz Gómez “Genery,” Juan Diego Medina, Juan Manuel Montoya Guzmán “Suena Eso!,” Juan Pablo Arango Berrio, Mateo Urán Diez “Tory Teler,” Miguel Ángel Giraldo Bueno, Roberto Dávila Osorio, Soley González Jaramillo and Tomás Molina Gómez “Taymez.” The song was produced by Juan Manuel Montoya Guzmán.
The single carries a message of hope, gratitude and love in its different forms—towards partners, family members or those who are no longer present. Both artists link its emotional tone to the spiritual sensitivity that characterizes Christmas in Colombia, a time when millions take part in traditions of light, prayer and family unity.
“We wanted to give people something truly heartfelt, something they could make their own. It’s a song about love in all its forms: for your mom, your daughter, your partner,” Soley said. Miguel Bueno added that the track is meant to be dedicated “to that special person who’s no longer here or to that true love who, even if life went in another direction, you still wish them the best.”
The official music video, starring both artists, highlights the intimacy and emotional connection described in the lyrics. With imagery focused on close encounters, the production underscores the idea that Christmas is a moment to reconnect with deep affections and honor the presence—or memory—of the people who shape one’s emotional life.
“They say there’s only one love meant to last a lifetime… without knowing it, you took mine,” a line of the song reads.
Soley, one of the most relevant emerging female voices in Colombia’s urban scene, was the fifth most-viewed female artist on TikTok in the country in 2023 and has accumulated more than 26 million streams with her EP La Bellakita. In 2025 she was highlighted by Billboard as an On the Radar Latin artist and received her first Heat Awards nomination.
Miguel Bueno has also risen quickly in the Latin scene with a sound that blends urban pop and Afro-infused rhythms. His 2025 hit “Solcito” became a viral phenomenon, reaching the Top 50 in more than 20 countries. He works with YT Rocket, Wayti Records and recently signed with Sony Music Latin, positioning himself as one of the new promises of the genre. EFE
