The film — produced by Sony Pictures in partnership with Marvel Studios — has been shooting since early August with director Destin Daniel Cretton. A source close to the production says that shooting is expected to start up again on Sept. 29, and will not have an impact on the film’s July 31, 2026, release date. No one else was injured in the incident on the Pinewood set in London, and Holland is recuperating “out of an abundance of caution,” says the source.
Last month, Sony marked the start of production by releasing a video of Holland on set on the first day in Glasgow, in an elaborate stunt sequence that had Holland, as Spider-Man, landing on a tank careening through the city.
