California’s biggest country music festival is back. On Thursday, Stagecoach Festival unveiled its 2026 lineup, with Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson and Post Malone as headliners.
Beyond those big names, Stagecoach’s undercard features several classic Bay Area acts. Journey, the legendary group behind “Don’t Stop Believin’,” is slated to perform, as is Third Eye Blind, who penned “Semi Charmed Life,” which may be the cheeriest song about crystal meth ever written. Counting Crows, the ’90s alternative band famous for the ubiquitous radio hit “Mr. Jones,” is also in the lineup. All three groups were founded in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Other notable throwback acts include Hootie & the Blowfish (“Hold My Hand”), Brooks & Dunn (“Neon Moon”) and Bush (“Glycerine”).
At Stagecoach’s Mustang Stage, the roster deviates from straightforward rock and country, with late-night performances from Diplo, Pitbull and Ludacris.
The three-day festival is scheduled to take place from Friday, April 24, through Sunday, April 26, one week after Coachella’s second weekend. Stagecoach is organized by Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Coachella and Portola, and happens at the same venue as Coachella in Indio, California. Occasionally, there’s some cross-pollination between the two festivals’ rosters: Lana Del Rey, who headlined Coachella in 2024, also appeared on that year’s Stagecoach lineup, and Post Malone headlined Coachella in 2025. Stagecoach 2026 will mark the 18th edition of the festival.
