Flagship Niagara return to Erie expected July 2 for US 250 celebration

Erie-based Flagship Niagara, undergoing a $5 million restoration in Maine, is scheduled to return to Erie, Pa., by July 2 for nation’s 250th anniversary.

It’s a new year in Erie and with a new year brings new entertainment opportunities.

The months of January through March are filled with arts and entertainment in the Erie area.

We’ve compiled a list of suggestions for what to do in the first few months of 2026. We will update the list as new events are announced through the first three months. More entertainment options can be found on GoErie.com/calendar.

January

“The Last Five Years“: Jan. 15-17 and 22-24 at 7:30 p.m. and Jan. 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. at Performing Artists Collective Alliance at 1505 State St. $25. An intimate musical that explores the rise and unraveling of a relationship between Jamie, a charismatic young writer, and Cathy, an actor fighting for her big break. 

Maureen Langan: Jan. 16-17, 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. An internationally acclaimed standup comedian, broadcaster, Tedx Talk speaker and corporate event host who was a semifinalist on Season 18 of “America’s Got Talent.” 

Band Together Erie Autism Friendly Open Mic: Jan. 18 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Kellar’s, A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. Free admission. An autism friendly open mic where everyone is welcome to have fun, sing, play an instrument or hang out.

Stars and Stripes Coed Gymnastics Invitational: Jan. 16-19 at 8 a.m. at Bayfront Convention Center. $10-$30 plus fees. The largest coed gymnastics invitational in Pennsylvania with over 1,600 athletes from over 45 gymnastics clubs.

Wes Barker stunt magician: Jan. 23-24 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s, A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. A comedy magician who has performed on “Penn and Teller Fool Us,” “America’s Got Talent,” “MTV,” “Wizard Wars” and more.

Erie Kennel Club Dog Show: Jan. 24-25 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bayfront Convention Center at 1 Sassafras St. $3-$9 plus fees. The Erie Kennel Club offers one of the largest all breed shows in the area. The dog show draws in numerous breeds, handlers, groomers and vendors to the Bayfront Convention Center.

“Mean Girls“: Jan. 30, 31, Feb. 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 8 at 2 p.m., Feb. 12-14 at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Erie Playhouse at 13 W. 10th St. $20.40-$31.40 plus fees. A musical based on the hit film. Cady Heron may have grown up on an African savanna, but nothing prepared her for the vicious ways of her strange new home: suburban Illinois.

Groundhog’s Winter Fest at Poverty Knob: Jan. 30-Feb. 1 at Port Farms at 2055 Stone Quarry Road. Free admission. Join Poverty Knob for a weekend of winter fun, cozy fires, food, drinks and family activities.

Kevin Downey Jr.: Jan. 30-31 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. Tickets are $25 plus fees. Comedian Kevin Downey Jr. has headlined clubs everywhere in the U.S. and is a regular on shows on SiriusXM. He’s made appearances on “America’s Got Talent,” “Comedy Central,” and “What Not To Wear.”

Copland’s Rodeo: Jan. 31 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $17-$63 plus fees. Violinist Alexi Kenney brings lyricism and dazzling precision to Barber’s Violin Concerto.

February

Ghost Hounds with special guests Don Felder: Feb. 5 at 7 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $42-$60 plus fees. Fresh off their fifth studio album, Ghost Hounds will bring their blend of country, rock, blues and roots to Erie.

Concert Choir: Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. at Walker Recital Hall at Mercyhurst University at 501 E. 38th St. $5-10.

Dale Jones: Feb. 13-14 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Dale Jones is a rapid-fire comedian who blends in quick improvisions, physical comedy and animated faces. He’s made appearances on “Last Comic Standing,” “TBS-The Very Funny Show” and “Stand Up Live Nashville.”

“Brit Floyd The Moon, the Wall and Beyond“: Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $50.26-$219.15 plus fees. Brit Floyd is the top Pink Floyd tribute band. The 2026 tour will feature a full performance of highlights from The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall, including timeless classics such as “Time,” “Money,” “Comfortably Numb,” and “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2.”

Meredith Wilson’s “The Music Man”: Feb. 16-17 at 7:30 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $65-93 plus fees. Part of the Broadway in Erie series, Meredith Wilson’s six time Tony Award winning musical follows a fast-talking traveling salesman as he cons the people of River City, Iowa to buying instruments and uniforms for a boy’s band that he vows to organize.

U.S. Navy Band Concert Band: Feb. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. Free event but tickets must be reserved online. The U.S. Navy Band inspires patriotism, elevates espirit de corps, enhances Navy awareness and public relations while supporting recruiting and retention efforts.

Michael Misko: Feb. 20-21 at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. 7 p.m. $25 plus fees. A comedy magician that combines dry-roasted comedy and world-class slight of hand magic to form highly energetic entertainment.

Gallery Night: Feb. 27 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m at the Erie Art Museum at 20 E. Fifth St. and various venues throughout the Erie area.

Don Friesen: Feb. 27-28 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. A modern comedian who offers a frenetic and engaging act while describing the irony of parenting, marriage and every day absurdities.

Erie Winter Carnival 2026: Feb. 27-March 1 at Perry Square. Free admission. Times to be announced. The event will showcase dozens of ice sculptures in Downtown Erie with live music in local businesses and restaurants, the Winter Soup Stroll, ice skating, curling, a kids’ movie screening and more. 

“Raiders of the Lost Ark” Live in Concert: Feb. 28 from 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. Performed by $17-$63 plus fees. Enjoy “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” on screen on the Warner Theatre stage as the Erie Philharmonic provides the musical score live.

March

Taylor Mason: March 5-7 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. A quick wit, flawless delivery comedy ventriloquist that is a hit with audiences of all ages.

“Junie B.’s Essential Survival Guide to School Jr.”: March 6-8 and March 12-15 at the Erie Playhouse at 13 W. 10th St. Tickets to go on sale at later date. Based on the bestselling book series, the hilarious first grader returns. After a year and a half of school, Junie B. Jones is the perfect expert to share everything you need to know about navigating elementary school.

“Raiders of the Lost Ark” Live in Concert: March 1 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $17-$63 plus fees. Enjoy “Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark” on screen on the Warner Theatre stage as the Erie Philharmonic provides the musical score live.

“Kinky Boots“: Part of the Broadway in Erie series. March 10-11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $65-$79 plus fees. Kinky Boots follows the journey of two people with nothing in common, or so they think. The pair discover that you can change the world when you change your mind.

Matt Stanley: March 13-14 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Matt Stanley combines stand-up comedy with mind blowing magic. He has been featured on NBC and FOX while appearing on “Night Shift with Kevin Ferguson.”

Riverdance: Part of the Broadway in Erie series. March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $72-$86 plus fees. Riverdance is a global cultural dance sensation with Grammy award-winning music, new innovative choreography and costumes.

“A Wake in the West”: An Irish Comedy: March 18, 21, 22, 29 and 29 at Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., Sundays at 2:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at noon at Station Dinner Theater at 4940 Peach St. $32.62- $56.08 plus fees. Meals included. Tom has drunk himself to death. This causes his family and friends to pay their respects while planning his cremation and deal with visitors at the wake.

“The Teachers Lounge Live and Uncensored“: March 20-21 at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. at 7 p.m. $25 plus fees. Lisa Ann the “Glam Ham” a former teacher and now full-time comic says anything that a teaching contract won’t let you. It’s an evening of laugh-out-loud staff lounge only humor.

New World Symphony: March 21 at 7:30 p.m. at the Warner Theatre at 811 State St. $17-$63 plus fees. Featuring award-winning pianist Sean Chen. Embark on a timeless celebration of discovery in a musical journey that bursts with hope.

“Bored Teachers: Is it Friday Yet“: Warner Theeatre at 811 State St. on March 22 at 3 p.m. $40-$88 plus fees. Bored Teachers is back with new jokes, bigger laughs and the most relatable teacher comedy.

Marcus Monroe and Ran’D Shine: March 26-28 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s: A Modern Magic & Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Marcus Monroe is an award-winning comedian. His show is a blend of quick one liners, silly stories and akwardness. Ran’D Shine is a magician and comedian known for performing real magic for real people. Just pure mind-boggling magic entertainment.

Pete George: March 27-28 at 7 p.m. at Kellar’s Modern Magic and Comedy Club at 1402 State St. $25 plus fees. Pete George is one of Cleveland’s top lead guitarists who helped spearhead the petition to bring the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to Cleveland. At the same time he took his quick wit and tried stand-up comedy where he now has over 10,000 shows under his belt.
