The 2025 Minnesota State Fair is in full swing, bringing entertainment, food, drinks and plenty of live music to Minnesota.
With a few concerts down, fairgoers still have several more chances to catch live music at this year’s fair.

British rock band Def Leppard, known for hits like “Rock of Ages” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” is scheduled to perform at the fair Tuesday, Aug. 26 with special guest Brother Cane.

Country star Hank Williams Jr., a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame and Country Music Hall of Fame member, will play the Grandstand Stage Aug. 27. The concert also features special guest Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives.

The Aug. 28 concert will feature Daryl Hall with special guest The Rascals to wrap up the first week of the fair. The show replaces a previously announced concert from Steve Miller Band, who canceled their upcoming tour dates due to extreme heat and weather events.
On Aug. 29, folk group The Avett Brothers and special guest The Milk Carton Kids will visit the Grandstand Stage, followed by Nelly with special guests Ja Rule, Mýa and Ying Yang Twins on Aug. 30.
The state fair is also hosting a free concert Aug. 31 for the Minnesota State Fair Amateur Talent Contest Finals. It will feature 26 acts of singing, dancing, playing music and other skills as finalists compete for prizes and trophies.

The fair wraps up on Labor Day, Sept. 1, with two shows at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from The Rock and Roll Playhouse and Bri & the Anti-Heroes, a Taylor Swift cover group. Rock and Roll Playhouse is a nationwide concert series that focuses on introducing children 10 years old and under to live music.
So far, big-name performers like Old Dominion, Meghan Trainor and Melissa Etheridge and Indigo Girls have already visited the fair this year. As the fair continues, several smaller-scale free concerts are scheduled across the fairgrounds’ stages throughout the day.
Tickets are still available for all the remaining concerts and can be purchased at the state fair’s website.
