Stephen King is no stranger to politics, as he has been very vocal about many different subjects. However, his most recent comments drew criticism, leading the author to apologize.
On Sept. 12, King wrote a message to his followers on X to apologize for claiming the late conservative activist Charlie Kirk “advocated stoning gays.” The activist was fatally shot on Sept. 10 while speaking at Utah Valley University in front of a crowd of 3,000 people. In a now-deleted post, the horror author made the allegation in reference to Kirk’s comments on his podcast, which were taken out of context.
