Is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds canceled or renewed for Season 4?
Yes, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has been renewed for Season 4.
Season 3 concluded on September 11, 2025. Fans were expecting an additional lineup of episodes due to the streaming platform’s strategy of releasing seasons in parts. However, Strange New Worlds Season 3 did not follow this release pattern. All 10 episodes were released on their scheduled dates and times.
Additionally, fans have been looking forward to the franchise’s next chapter. The good news is Strange New Worlds will be back with another season. Season 4 was ordered in April 2024, well ahead of the Season 3 premiere. The upcoming season has already wrapped filming and is expected to premiere in 2026. Showrunner Akiva Goldsman also shared his excitement for the season, telling TrekMovie.com:
“Thank you guys for following along with us on this journey. There were certainly sort of stumbling blocks along the way, you know, season 3, I’m very happy it’s over.” Goldsman further added, “Because we had a strike, and we sort of had to manage all sorts of work on the fly a little bit. I think season 4, for me, is the best work we’ve done… Everybody’s working at their stride.”
Moreover, the series will also roll out a fifth and final installment. Filming is expected to start this year, with a premiere planned for 2027.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is streaming on Paramount Plus.
