SUBLIME have released a new music video!
The track, Gangstalker, is taken from the American ska punk outfit’s upcoming new album Until the Sun Explodes, which is set for release on June 12th via Atlantic Records, marking their first full-length record in decades and their first since reforming with Jakob Nowell at the helm. The new single follows the band’s long-awaited UK debut at Slam Dunk Festival and arrives as the latest taste of the highly anticipated comeback record.
Speaking about the new single, frontman Jakob Nowell shares, “Gangstalker is pure chaos. I was so proud when the drum and guitar parts came together the way that they did in the studio. Sometimes you have this idea for how a song should sound in your head and it becomes impossible to translate that into reality. Gangstalker is not one of those songs. It is a frenetic, California tweaker, punk anthem that I fully endorse with my life.”
The accompanying music video leans heavily into nostalgia, featuring vintage footage from SRH Productions’ 1994 film All In The Family. Capturing the surf, skate and punk ethos that defined the SRH brand at the time, the clip includes appearances from Jason Carney, Joe Crimo, Aaron Chase, and Zinger.
