YES Theatre welcomes submissions from all Northern Ontario locals for in-person or self-tape auditions.

This is an opportunity for new talent to audition for the core creative team at YES for opportunities to be on stage in 2026-27.
In-person auditions will take place at the Sudbury Theatre Centre on Shaughnessy Street, on Jan. 19-21 fro, 1-9 p.m. Artistic director Alessandro Costantini, associate artistic director Ruthie Nkut, and artistic associates Jake Deeth and Gaia Dhatt will attend.
Artists of all ages are welcome to submit for a 10-minute time slot. Non-local performers can submit a headshot and resume for consideration. Non-local performers who have auditioned in the last two years do not need to submit. Go to yestheatre.com for information about submitting and auditioning.

Prepare one monologue from a published play and one song that showcases your vocal range.

Derek Seguin brings hit comedy tour to Sudbury
Sudbury Performance Group says award-winning Canadian comedian Derek Seguin is coming to Sudbury for two live shows at Cousin Vinny’s in Hanmer on Jan. 24.
This special engagement features two show options, giving audiences the choice of a full dinner-and-show experience or a late-night comedy set.

The first show, which features a buffet, begins at 6:30 p.m. Until Dec. 31, tickets cost $60; afterwards, that goes up to $65.
The second show is perfect for night owls looking to end their evening with laughs. It begins at 10 p.m. Until Dec. 31, tickets cost $30, then go up to $35.

YES Theatre to offer PA day camps
Exploration and fun are the key words for YES Theatre’s PA day camps for youth aged eight to 12.
Camps will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following dates: Jan. 30, Feb. 27 and June 5.
The program includes collaborative activities and games designed to build imagination, confidence and creative expression.

The cost is $75 per day (includes HST) for a child’s first camp, and $70 for each additional session. After-care until 5 p.m. is available upon request for an additional $10 per day.

Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts on Jan. 31
The Sudbury Symphony Orchestra (SSO), in collaboration with the Sudbury Arts Council, proudly presents the Mayor’s Celebration of the Arts, a vibrant multi-disciplinary symphony concert.
It takes place on Jan. 31 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fraser Auditorium, on the Laurentian University campus.
This special event features Mayor Paul Lefebvre, a trained pianist and saxophonist, performing with the SSO on works, including selections by renowned Canadian composer André Gagnon. The program also highlights exceptional local talent, with guest performances by YES Theatre and an original poem by Alex Tétreault, Greater Sudbury’s current poet laureate.
