Summer Nights Entertainment Returns to Danville

The Town of Danville is celebrating the season with Danville Loves Summer, a reminder that summer in Danville is about community gatherings, outdoor fun, and time spent together in Town. Beginning Saturday, June 13, the Town will offer free weekly entertainment through two favorite summer series: Music in the Park and Moonlight Movies. 

Community members are invited to gather friends and family, bring a picnic, or pick up dinner from a favorite Danville restaurant and enjoy an evening outside. Both series will take place at the Danville Town Green, located adjacent to the Danville Community Center and Danville Library. 

The Music in the Park series returns Saturday, June 13, with live music from 6 to 8 p.m. on select Saturday evenings. This year’s lineup includes country, tribute bands, and pop hits spanning the ’70s to today. The 2026 Music in the Park schedule is: 

• June 13: The Bell Brothers — Country  
• June 27: New Moon on Monday — Duran Duran Tribute Band  
• July 11: Mercy and the Heartbeats — Pop hits from the ’70s to today  
• July 25: Dream Like Taylor — Taylor Swift Tribute Band  

The Moonlight Movies series returns Friday, June 19, with family-friendly fun before each outdoor screening. Friday movie nights begin at 6:30 p.m. with themed games and activities, followed by the movie at 8 p.m. or when lighting permits. The 2026 Moonlight Movies schedule is: 

• June 19: Cool Runnings (PG)  
• July 3: Captain America: The First Avenger (PG-13)  
• July 17: Lilo & Stitch — Live Action (PG) 
• July 31: The Princess Bride (PG)
