Super Bowl halftime show predictions for 2027, featuring Billie Eilish, Justin Bieber, and more

Harlem Shake’s beloved Mr./ Miss Harlem Shake contest returns with free burgers, cash prizes and community pride

Katie Trausch confirmed as CEO of Modesto Children’s Museum

The 2026 Super Bowl is in the rear view, and we had an incredible halftime show by Bad Bunny that everybody loved, and absolutely nobody had a problem with. It was so nice.

Now we turn our entertainment eyes to 2027 when Super Bowl LXI will be in Los Angeles once more. The last Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium featured an ode to West Coast rap with Kendrick Lamar, Dre, Snoop, and Mary J. Blige — so the next time is anyone’s guess.

We sat down and tried to predict who we think will be halftime performer for the next big game.

Taylor Swift

Roger Goodell has stated before that the NFL would welcome Taylor Swift to the halftime show, and you know he’d do so with open arms given the audience she would bring to the telecast. This is all about money, and the NFL loves to try and go bigger every single time.

The problem is that the league didn’t give itself much wiggle room by booking Bad Bunny, the most-streamed artist on the planet. The only potential artist to make waves on the same level as Benito would be Tay Tay. It just makes too much sense not to happen at this point.

Justin Bieber

The NFL only cares about global reach and Bieber still has it, ranking as a top-15 most-streamed artist in the world. He just crushed his 2026 Grammys performance, and at this point, he has more than 15 years worth of massive songs. The guest star potential would be through the roof with a Bieber set, and you already know the backup dancing would be off the charts. Bieber has grown into a serious artist in recent years, but he still has diehard fans from his youth that would guarantee the NFL plenty of eyeballs.

Billie Eilish

One of the most-streamed artists on the planet and a Los Angeles-native, Eilish checks a lot of boxes the league is looking for in a performer. The big question is whether the league would want a performer who tends to skew a little more towards low-energy than extreme exuberance.

Eilish also opens the door for some really great guest artists with Vince Staples on “&Burn,” CharlieXCX on “Guess.” It makes for a compelling package that makes a lot of sense for Los Angeles, and also markets the league to a younger demographic.

Sabrina Carpenter

I promise you that Sabrina Carpenter’s halftime show would be absolutely hilarious. All of our her spotlight performances feel like theater productions with a heavy dose of physical comedy as much as they feel like concerts. I want to live in a world where she “arrests” Roger Goodell in fuzzy handcuffs at the Super Bowl.

Post Malone

Posty seems like an obvious pick for the Super Bowl at some point. He was the No. 7 artist on Apple Music’s charts in 2025, and his genre-bending act would have something for everyone. It feels like he gets bigger and bigger with every album, and at age-30 he’s already got a deep catalog of hits. Maybe he’d bring out Fleet Foxes for a guest appearance? If only we were that lucky.

Chris Stapleton

The NFL and Chris Stapleton have an existing relationship. The bluegrass-turned-country star collaborated with Snoop Dogg on the new Monday Night Football theme a few seasons ago, and absolutely crushed the National Anthem prior to Super Bowl LVII which you can see here:

I was tearing up too Coach Sirianni, I understand.

Given Stapleton’s relationship with the NFL, and his prior Super Bowl experience, a halftime show seems like the next step.

An ode to K-Pop

Chasing trends is a thing, and this makes a lot of sense with the Super Bowl being in Los Angeles. Evoking the city’s iconic Koreatown, which is just a few miles from Inglewood would make a ton of sense for the NFL.

BTS is releasing its first studio album in four years, and they could be big enough to handle the show on their own. However, it opens the door to also merge in groups like BLACKPINK, who will be on a reunion tour — and probably throw in the fictional band Huntrix from K-Pop Demon Hunters to perform “Golden.”

This could be an odds-on favorite to market to a demographic the NFL desperately wants.

Foo Fighters

If the league wanted to pull back and return to a rock halftime show then Foo Fighters make too much sense. They’re one of the largest stadium rock bands who have a current and nostalgic following that would make it all work.

It’s a shame they’d perform without Taylor Hawkins on drums, but it would still be a memorable show.

Ariana Grande

She has the hits to carry a set, plus she would be a “safer” choice that appeals to all audiences after her starring role in “Wicked.” The NFL cares about global reach, and Grande is the most-streamed Spotify artist of 2025 who has yet to play the Super Bowl, coming in at No. 8 overall.

Run back Super Bowl LVI

With the Super Bowl heading back to SoFi Stadium, the NFL has a chance to do something special.

Run back a halftime show that became the first to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Special (Live).

At halftime of Super Bowl LVI, the NFL celebrated hip hop and rap, featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Could it work again? Perhaps.

Future

Future remains super popular as Spotify’s No. 29 most-streamed artist in 2025. The rapper has a ton of collaborations that could make for some great guest appearances, and he’s popular with players. There’s no better way for the sports calendar to transition from the Super Bowl to March Madness than by hearing Future do “March Madness” at the Super Bowl.

Paramore

Paramore would fit the Super Bowl’s recent trend of picking artists who are still in their prime. The band appeals to everyone from the punk kids to the pop girlies to the hip-hop heads, and they have enough hits to easily fill a set. Who wouldn’t want to play some football after hearing Hayley Williams belt out “The Only Exception”?

Kid Rock

Just kidding. Who is tuning in to hear Kid Rock these days?
