It would make perfect sense to assume that Supergirl is costing DC Studios more than a pretty penny to make. However, a recently reported amount for the upcoming superhero movie’s budget was quickly called out as a miscalculation by none other than James Gunn.
Forbes Australia published a profile on Milly Alcock, who stars as the lead of Supergirl, as part of its 30 Under 30 Issue this year, which describes said film as a “$200 million DC feature.” This prompted Lakshman Sai Kumar Tumati to reach out to the DC Studios co-head over the accuracy of the number on Threads, to which Gunn responded that it is “not even a little bit true.
