Prince Harry, a former Afghanistan war veteran who served in the British Army for 10 years, had worn a poppy for the evening to honour the the Armed Forces community.
Kim said she was disappointed at how it was all handled after fan speculation about the photographs – when they were later deleted – went into overdrive at the time.
“If we just made it light and made it funny, I think it would have been, like, received differently, but I hated how that was received for everyone,” she said.
“That sucks. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”
Discussing the “really innocent” incident, the sisters dubbed it “photogate”.
In one deleted image, the Duke was seen moving towards Kris on the dance floor at the James Bond-themed party.
It was also noted that the couple were photographed earlier in the evening with their friend Serena Williams at the Baby2Baby charity gala in West Hollywood, but suggested that was different than being seen at a party.
“That was fine, but maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever,” Kim said, adding: “So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day.”
