Taiwan’s largest entertainment group is touching down in San Antonio as part of its U.S. expansion.
Taroko Sports is opening a 31,000-square-foot entertainment venue – its largest U.S. location – in San Antonio’s Park North Shopping Center this summer.
The venue, opening at 618 N.W. Loop 410 on the North Side, will feature batting cages, a bowling alley, arcade games, and food and drink offerings.

Taroko Sports will be replacing Urban Air indoor trampoline park, and the renovation is expected to cost $500,000, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Taroko Sports did not respond to requests for comment before publication.
The company is a U.S. subsidiary of Taiwan-based TRK Corp. It opened a 20,000-square-foot venue in Katy last year, its first in the U.S., and also operates locations in Mesa and Chandler in Arizona. Another Texas venue is slated to open next year in Pflugerville.
Houston-based Dhanani Private Equity Group recently acquired the 45.6-acre Park North Shopping Center next to North Star Mall from Florida-based Sterling Organization for $115 million last year.
The mall is anchored by a Super Target and also offers a mix of other national, regional and local tenants, including Pinstack, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Norris Conference Centers, World Market and Outlaw Pickleball. Park North gets about 7.1 million visitors annually and is one of the most-visited shopping centers in the metro area, according to a news release.
