A suspected package thief in California bears a striking resemblance to a certain tattooed music artist, leading police to dub the unknown man “Postal Malone.”
The Irvine Police Department said officers were called Sunday to investigate a package theft from an apartment on Spectrum, and surveillance images revealed the suspect looked a lot like rapper and singer Post Malone.
“If we named suspects like the FBI, we would call this suspected thief ‘Postal Malone’,” police wrote alongside an Instagram photo that showed the suspect with an armload of packages. The bearded suspect has tattoos visible on his right hand and face, much like the singer.
“The suspect seems to love everything ‘post,’ including taking postal packages that dont belong to him,” police said.
“We dont want to be running in ‘circles’. We want to say we ‘had some help’,” police joked, asking the public for tips. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ward at [email protected].
