The Madison, the new family drama created by Taylor Sheridan, the mind behind the popular Yellowstone series, just became the biggest original series launch for Sheridan on Paramount+ to date. According to Paramount+, the show drew in 8 million streams in its first 10 days following its March 14 debut.
According to Luminate, The Madison ended up ranking as the number one original streaming season based on views in its first week of release (March 13 through 19), outperforming all other streaming originals during this time. The Madison is also Sheridan’s largest first-season premiere among women ages 35 and up. The show received a rating of 60% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell, Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, and Alaina Pollack, the six-episode first season follows the Clyburns, a New York City-based family, figuring out how to navigate loss following a tragedy as well as the inevitable transformation that comes with that grief. According to Paramount+, The Madison marks Sheridan’s “most intimate work to date” and features the gorgeous landscapes of Montana’s Madison River valley and Manhattan as its backdrop.
